A little bit about the type
The BA-64B armoured car was produced from 1943 onwards and widely used by Russian forces during WWII, seeing reconnaissance and transport work as the Russians turned the tide against German forces. An evolution of the BA-64, the only armoured car developed and mass-produced by Russia during the early stages of the conflict, the BA-64B featured updates to its predecessor such as a wider track (wheelbase width) to reduce problems experienced on rough surfaces.
The 4WD vehicle had a highly-recognizable compact form with sloped armour, and was fitted with a machine gun on a rotating mount. It weighed 2.4 tons and could accommodate two crew members, achieving a top speed of 80km/h.
