Well, what a mixed bag.
Excellent modern resin and PE brass definitely do try their best to jazz up a fairly old kit. Some of the PE left me wondering why it was included instead of, for example, new upper intake louvers and I was a bit put off by the fit of the plastic parts.
I guess I’ve spoilt myself with few Tamiya and Eduard (own moulded parts) builds under my belt in the last 12 months, but this build has really re-taught me some important and basic lessons. The most important of these has got to be the need to constantly test fit the parts to get the best fit possible before committing to glue.
