This is one of the new themed sets from Hannants and what a welcome sheet this one is. It really doesn’t get much better – instead of one of those sheets that has dozens of the same aircraft and cost an arm and a leg, this approach is refreshing and offers superb value for money to the purchaser. With kits of the types in this popular scale, this sheet is going to prove popular so it’s worth getting it while it’s available.

No less than seven different aircraft types are featured, surely providing something for everyone? Both the Westland Lynx and Fairey Swordfish have multiple aircraft options, providing you with plenty of choice and opportunities to finish your models. And what about sharing amongst your colleagues at the club? Just a thought, but the sharing opportunities here if you get together and look at multiple purchases are tremendous, especially when you start looking at other themed sets from the Hannants extensive range? Simply amongst the best. I’ve used Hannants Xtradecals for years now and they never let you down. They are printed in perfect register, good colour opacity and thin – just what we need. They work well with the main decal softening solutions like Micro Set and Sol – probably others too, but the Micro products are sound. Let us know if you use these decals with other setting agents and we can update this review accordingly.

These are getting better and better, especially with the increasing use of colour. Placement is clear and unambiguous

Ok, what’s the verdict?
