Initial assessment…
This set will make the tiny aircraft on the deck really come alive, adding ladders, weapon trolleys. Even small parts for the deck vehicles used on the Illustrious.
Unfortunately as I mentioned in the review of the WEM update for HMS Illustrious – The Ship, I won’t be using this set, however Gareth Jordan will be using this and the air wing set on a future build; so he will be able to comment on their use.
Another outstanding piece of photo-etch from WEM, exquisite detail with no faults.
Conclusion…
Yet another cracking set from WEM, well worth purchasing if you have any Royal Naval vessel with aircraft. Most definitely recommended…
