The long-term in-depth restoration of the North American Harvard II B in Newark Air Museum’s on site workshop continues and recently work has been undertaken on preparing to refit the restored nose cowlings to the fuselage.

For more than twenty years Newark Air Museum (NAM) has hosted an ongoing social history project to record the history of its Avro Vulcan, XM594.

This annual two-day event provides the perfect opportunity for the public to view a diverse range of visiting aircraft cockpits at the air museum, alongside our own diverse aviation displays.

This two-day event is being hosted at the Newark Air Museum, to mark fifty years since the museum was officially opened to the public, on 14th April 1973

On the weekend of 11th/12th February 2023 it will be forty years since Avro Vulcan XM594 landed on the former wartime runway at Winthorpe Showground to go on display at the Newark Air Museum, 2023 it is also the 60th anniversary of its entry into RAF service.

On Friday 19th August, 2022 the Newark Air Museum (NAM) took delivery of the Reid and Sigrist (RS) Desford aircraft onto its site in north eastern Nottinghamshire.

Administered by Arts Council England on behalf of the UK Accreditation Partnership, Accreditation is the benchmark for well-run Museums and Galleries.
