Inspiration for this build
Having seen the kit and the extraordinary contents in the box, you really don’t need a lot of inspiration but then I came across this stunning build of the HKM Do 335 by Sampson Ws Yu – extraordinary modelling and that’s the target for me – to try and get somewhere near his end result with this great new release from ZM – we’ll see…
Making a start – read the instructions! Several times!!
Planning as they say is time well spent. This is a complex model to build given the sheer number of parts and you need to think about the build – how you’re going to tackle it and when and where to follow the suggested build sequence offered by ZM. I’ve built some of their models before and what I’ve noticed is careful preparation pays dividends and that they are getting better and better which is just great for us modellers, so I have high hopes this will be the case here – let’s hope so.
Fact is, soon I’ll need to start deciding on how I want the model to be finished – which panels to open to show the beautiful internal detail that exists across the entire airframe and for now I’m happy to start as suggested in the cockpit and nose wheel bay/bomb bay.
