TIME: 9.30 – 16.00 (please arrive at 9.00am)
LOCATION: Holiday Inn, Milton Keynes East MK16 0JA

Who is this workshop aimed at?
Anyone with any basic experience of building scale models. Whether you are an experienced modeller, returning to the hobby after several years break or just want to develop your skills or learn something new, this workshop is for you!
What you will get when you book your place:
- what products are available? Geoff and Dave will take you through as many of the different products currently available and how to use them
- all the new and older products: you’ll be working with Alclad2 lacquers, the new Vallejo Acrylic Metal Color, Mr Metal Color, AK Interactive True Metal Paints, Humbrol Metal Cote, other enamel and acrylic metallic paints
- weathering silver and NMF: not only how to use these metallic products, but also how to weather them!
- create multiple airframe ‘silver’ and NMF effects (e.g. on aircraft – military and civilian and could be used on, say, vehicles) and how to create realistic metallic effects on engines (whatever your area of modelling interest)
- learn what works best with what – how to avoid nasty reactions between the different products
- learn about base layers like primers, priming and when it is good to do it and when you might ‘get away’ without priming – you’ll be drawing on many years of experience from not only Geoff and dave but also everyone who attends your workshop
- bring your own models: an opportunity for you to bring along any model you like (ideally as a bit of a test-bed) and work on it in your workshop
- practice models available on the day: some practice models will be available on the day too for you to practice on using the above products
- trouble-shoot your questions and problems – bring any models you have where you’ve used products and maybe got a reaction or had problems using any of these metallic products and we’ll sort out what’s been going on – any questions at all, just ask – nothing is silly, too basic or off-point!
- come and enjoy a great day sharing what we all know about this major area of scale modelling.
