The story

The night of the 16th/17th May 1943 saw the execution of Operation Chastise and carried out by newly-formed 617 Squadron from their base at RAF Scampton.
The mission was led by twenty four year-old Wing Commander Guy Gibson and already a veteran of 170 missions. He was the first OC of this illustrious Squadron.

The breaching of the Dams in Germany proved costly with the loss of many aircraft and their crews but nevertheless was a remarkable achievement in terms of ingenuity, navigation, flying and unwavering courage.

The plan and build…

Hello and thank you once again,Rob.
    That’s much appreciated.
The primer is an absolute joy to work with even when used directly from the rattlecan.
The model’s ready now for the airbrush-painting which will commence with some tonal work on the undersides and look forward to updating again shortly.
    As Always,
    Paul.😉👍
