I thought that you’d like to see this pic – right up front that shows what a great job Aaron is making of this excellent kit. I just love that painted word effect on the fuselage. This build will finish soon and then you’ll see the whole completed project in Finished Now which is where all our completed build projects are hangared ☺

Over to you Aaron

After the Roden Albatros OAW Geoff kindly offered this WW Roland as my next build. Having built 2 or 3 Roden kits this was to be my first WW offering and a chance to see what all the fuss has been about with these kits. On receiving the kit first impressions were very good. The box art alone is stunning and sets the standards high right from the get go.

The instructions are more of a reference than a simple stick A to B etc. with loads of pictures of the actual aircraft and close up details to help things along.

Apart from the kit I purchased a set of Aviattic lozenge decals for the wings and Gaspatch turnbuckles for the rigging. The rigging itself will be Uschi Van De Rosten rigging material. Paints will be Gunze and Windsor and Newton oils for the wood effects.

So with a deep breath – off we go…
