This series of small colourful reference books are just superb – for many reasons. Firstly the quality of the full colour profiles is simply stunning and very motivating, providing good reference in their own right. All manner of colourful P-38 Lightning schemes are included and one or more are bound to take your fancy amongst the 34 pages.
The high quality profiles illustrate very well the weathering effects that were common to operational P-38s, especially that staining aft from the huge exhaust outlets atop each of the twin booms.
Decal sheet!
Kagero are becoming known for including good quality decal sheets in many of their publications and this is of course a real bonus for us modellers. The fact that a colourful scheme for your model in all three main scales is also a bonus!
Verdict…
Well, what can you say? This series is aimed squarely at scale modellers, provides inspirational colour profiles and a decal sheet featuring an aircraft in all the popular scales – what isn’t there to like?
