I for one have been pushing for a new-tool Airfix Blackburn Buccaneer in 1:48 for a long time and Airfix has now listened to all the voices and produced a very nice kit that’s a quantum leap forward over their old release from many years ago. I built that and it’s a bit of a nightmare but this release changes everything for Bucc fans.

If you want complete accuracy, then it’s worth doing a bit of research to try and work out if some of the moulded details are appropriate to the version you want to build. For me though, none of these smaller details like chaff dispenser mounts etc matter at all – the model looks just fine as it is and as I say in the video – this supposed to be a bit of a ‘blitz-build’ to give you all a heads up on what’s on offer and how it all goes together.
