Getting the best from your SMN subscription
By reading Cover story you see firsthand what SMN can bring you in just one Feature Article so I urge you to break out:
- Explore and read other Reviews and Feature Articles throughout SMN, in Armour, Maritime and Aircraft. Go look at what lots of other modellers are doing and how they do what they do and I promise you’ll find useful, different and even unique ways of doing stuff that can directly help you to raise your own bar
- Explore, spend time reading through and then trying out new or different ways of tackling the dozens of tasks we have to do in our scale modelling – especially in the articles, reviews and in Techniques Bank
- Be inspired, like Les was to take on ship modelling as a challenge and boy how he has succeeded in so short a time – just look again at that cover shot… this is a man who had never built a ship model a year ago – awesome!
- Persevere, practise and try again – there are no magic answers, only knowledge and a willingness to develop our ability to achieve results we are pleased with
- Forget others… you are the one to satisfy – are you pleased with what you’ve done? Yes, job done. Have you done better than last time? Yes, job done. Are you going to try and do better next time, learn from what has and hasn’t gone well this time? Yes, job done
- Ask us here at SMN if you have a problem or want us to cover something specific – kit or technique – just use the Contact button at the top of the screen
Comet rises in the South… Armour modellers read on!
The amazing Resicast 1:35 A34 Comet tank which can be produced in a wartime (it appeared in 1945) or post war version. The package is stunning in terms of contents and a full Here Now review will be in from Julian soon and who’ll be building this one. He is an outstanding armour modeller so this will be one to watch for sure…
