Finding a decent 1:48th Gnat a couple of years ago was like trying to find hen’s teeth with the Aeroclub offering (see Aircraft-Finished Now and Ian Graham’s lovely build of that kit) being the only option and if you did manage to locate one you were more than likely to pay a hefty premium to get your hands on it. Then along came Airfix and answered a lot of prayers in this department with a new tool offering. You can get the kit in three boxing:
1. Gnat T.1 with markings for a 4FTS trainer or CFS
2. Red Arrows Gnat T1 with markings for 1976 and 1977
3. Dual Red Arrows boxing with Hawk T1
