eduard Spitfire Mk.IIa 1:48 – Profi-Pack – build review

Full Review with Geoff Coughlin

The eduard kit

This really is an impressive looking package with not only very neatly tooled plastic but also a great photo-etched fret that has pre-painted main panel and straps plus a few other small painted items. The main panel is incredibly realistic and for the first time (for me) has the dials with raised convex glass over the instrument faces – incredible.

I did a video review of the kit recently and you can find that in the usual place: Aircraft-Here Now-Kits-eduard.

Is there much of an added benefit to use the Eduard Spitfire Cockpit 648621? It seems to me that what comes with the kit is detailed enough.

I agree Robert – I only added the PE belts. GC

    Hi Geoff

Was very interested in your comments about Eduard’s new decals. While trawling the internet recently I came across a tutorial on YouTube. You may well have already seen it, but in case not… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qbs7W7ZAxeA

    Hi John,

This is excellent and a very helpful tutorial too. I will give it a go. Interesting that the modeller says eduard doesn’t recommend the approach, although it seems like the only way to go in my opinion if the kit decals are to be usable? Just my opinion though.
    Thanks again John, Geoff C.
