March 17, 2017 By Francis Porter

Feature Article by Dave Coward

Our thanks to Special Hobby for supplying our review sample – get this impressive looking kit here now at Special Hobby

A note from Geoff…
It’s nice once again to be able to bring you a couple of photos of Dave’s completed model below – it certainly looks the part in the photos and in the flesh…

Background

This kit is the Hi-tech release and as such contains Eduard colour PE, masks for the canopy and airframe clear parts, resin (a lot of) and HGW seat belts. Based on Special Hobby’s Mk.V I suspect that they will release a more basic version in the future. The kit contains options for 5 aircraft (you could say 6 if you include the colour variations for option 1); an early RAF WWII option, 2 post-war RAF options, na Iraqi option and an Indian option. Much as I liked the idea of the foreign options I had to do an RAF version and I used the variation of option 1 that is shown on the box art but more of that later on in the build.

For a full description of what you get in the box and a brief history of the subject have a look at the Here Now in-box review
