Dragon StuG IIIG 1:72

June 27, 2012 By

Conclusion

This is my second foray into 1:72 and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The photo etch adds another dimension to the model bringing in that refinement that only that medium can. It was however, frustratingly fiddly at times.

The weathering on this model was a challenge, being so small subtlety is the key and it’s important to use moderation. Better to do something twice than ruin it by being heavy handed.

In summary, this little StuG was really good fun and quite quick and I heartily recommend a 1:72 model to those who relish a challenge and to those died in the wool 1:35 modellers who like a challenge.
