This Book covers the Panzer Division during 1944 to the end of war period when many changes took place due to shortages in men and materials. It is divided into twelve sections covering combat mission, doctrine and training, unit organisation, tactics, weapons and equipment, command and control, Unit status, lessons learned as well as sections on Abbreviations, Bibliography and a key to the vehicle silhouettes used in the graphic charts. The section dealing with the tactics covers twelve different battles which cover all fronts during this period. The unit organisation is covered by text, tables and the graphic illustrations.
I found this is a very good book and I have to say, “Well done to Osprey” for publishing it in the now familiar format which is 96 pages long. A handy book to have on ones shelf, for either the modeller or the historian, and being as I missed two previous books which cover the early war years and the Panzer Divisions Eastern Front 1941 – 43 I will be looking for them on my next outing to the book shop.
This is highly recommended
