Initial assessment

This volume is 12” x 9” hardback printed on good quality glossy paper. It covers the Wehrmacht’s Sdkfz.221, 222, 223, 260 and 261 light armoured cars based on the four wheel chassis. These were used as reconnaissance vehicles for the panzer divisions and served on all fronts. We have builds of some of these important vehicles in your Finished Now area so do check that out.

The authors have done a tremendous job with this volume which is 150 pages in length and contains close to 300 pictures in colour and black and white, some period in action, as well as colour profiles by Uwe Feist.

The text is informative and well written and will be a great reference work for modellers, historians and restorers of these vehicles. The colour photographs of the restored vehicle at various stages of the build are really useful as they are clear and sharp showing all the detail.

Conclusions

A stunning volume with its text, colour pictures, period photos and the colour plates this book will stand as a one stop volume for these vehicles. Excellent.

Highly recommended

Thanks to Justin Gainham from Bookworld for loaning this volume for review. www.bookworldws.co.uk | info@bookworldws.co.uk
