Not sure whether to sign up to SMN?
Why not try Facebook as a starting point? It has a growing amount of pics and discussion that give you a flavour for how friendly getting involved is. Put this with a good look around SMN and you’ll see exactly what I mean.
Then, If you go to SMN you can:
- Download the flyer all about SMN from the cover (centre panel bottom)
- Check out to see what’s new (from the right panel and main nav bar links on the cover)
- Download FREE samples of the reviews and awesome Photo Reference Library walkarounds designed for modellers
- Download a sample FREE How-to video from the SMN Techniques Bank – a huge area to help you with specific techniques – we are adding 2 new HD videos every month with dozens more planned
- Ask me any questions you like through the Contact page in the red navigation bar at the top of every page.
Are you a modelling newbie?
Or maybe someone returning to modelling or thinking of doing so after a long break? Well I can promise you that SMN is designed for you – the Techniques Bank is an awesome resource you cannot get anywhere else with dozens and dozens of ‘How-to’ step by step techniques, advice and tips that will help you, whatever your interest – Aircraft, Armour or Maritime.
The HD Mini-Demo video series is designed specifically to help us all develop and crack the skills needed to improve – whatever our level – there’s something for everyone here AND it’s growing all the time.
More for Armour modellers – HD video dems
We have a really exciting project on the way and it all involves a series of mini-demos for completing an armour project – focusing on the weathering and other tips and hints.
Italeri BMW R75 diorama on the way
Some stunning work by Brian Keates coming here. Just shooting the finished pics (next Monday) and we’ll get it running in SMN straight away, so one to watch for sure.

Dragon 1:35 Panther on the way…
Some impressive skills at work here with Jamie Haggo doing his stuff and this is definitely one project worth checking in for. There’s a lot on HOW he achieves the finish he does and here’s a pic of his Dragon Panther half way through weathering.
Plus progress on a number of the projects we have in Build Now – so lots to look forward to here.
Another Editorial coming soon (too much going on now for it to be more than 2 weeks away!)
Please don’t forget to use those links to our SMN ‘partners’, like The Airbrush Co and Albion Alloys!
Till next time…
