Regular updates
This is going to be a good week. As ever, with any business that’s still growing and evolving there was and is so much more to do than it appears, but next week we’ll be adding more content than usual in all areas of SMN, so do check in regularly, there’s bound to be something that’ll interest you, especially with around 26 projects on the go and new ones starting all the time.
Your Photo Reference Library (PRL) – 2 new sets go ‘live’
British Apache AH.Mk.1 Attack Helicopter– exterior walk around (49 high-res images). For obvious reasons the interior was off limits when we shot the set, but in due course I hope to bring you more internal shots to add to these stunning exterior detail images.
As you may know – ALL the images we take are designed with the scale modeller in mind and designed to bring you all the close up detail that you need to help you make more satisfying models – or just get the colour right!
Crossley Fire Tender – internal and external walk around, thanks to Gary Norris for contributing this excellent set to SMN
Ian is just back from the USA and Brian has some great images to share from the Czech Republic so this is going to be a good month for your PRL – can’t wait to get them in… and thanks guys for your sterling efforts!
Techniques Bank paying in
The launch of our Video No.3 highlighting cockpit detail was launched just before Telford and your feedback has been very positive. So much so that we are going to advance our plans for another unique and exciting development in our HD video provision. More news very soon, and that’s a promise.
European friends contributing more!
One of the great things about ‘that’ show is that it brings you into contact with some great scale modellers from around the globe. You’ve probably seen Patrick’s awesome EA-7L two-seat Corsair conversion from the 1:32nd scale Trumpeter kit? Check it out in Finished Now if not.
So apart from at least 2 great offers from guys here in the UK to contribute to SMN (so of course, yes please to that) you’ll be seeing some great work from the Likes of Thomas from Germany and other super-talented scale modellers.
Links – please help SMN to help you…
Visitors, suppliers and subscribers please read…
If you are planning to buy anything: kits, books, photo etch, resin, decals and other accessories PLEASE try and use any of the links to the supplier’s website or on-line shop using the links in the red bar at the top of SMN – Get it Now Links.
There’s a very good reason for this, suppliers, traders and manufacturers track on-line where their sales come from and in turn decide who to advertise with. So, the more they see that their buyers are being directed to their site from SMN the more likely we are to attract this type of appropriate advertising revenue – it all helps a lot and so any help in this area will be greatly appreciated.
I am also looking to negotiate discounts for all our subscribers with some of our suppliers and supporters and hope to bring you more on this soon.
I’m sure you can see that the more suppliers, shops and traders see that their business is ‘coming from’ SMN the more likely they are to offer us (and that means you) discounted sales. Thanks everyone.
Ok that’s it for today, have a great weekend and why not tackle one of your potential Weekend Warriors! Have some fun…
See you next week!
Best wishes
Geoff
