Iwata Studio Series Smart Jet plus Handle-Tank compressor – page2

October 29, 2010 By

Airbrush Compatibility

Iwata Revolution, Eclipse, Except (G6), HP (except BC2), HP-Plus, Hi-line, Custom Micron, Kustom series, Paasche CC,F,Talon,V,VJR,VSR,90,VV Badger 100,150 (except HD head) Premi Air G35.

Others may work but are not mentioned by the manufacturer.

Instruction Manual

This is in Japanese with some quaint English translation but it’s all easily understood.

Operating Features

This fabulous compressor is not only compact and quiet but for me its built-in air tank in the handle enables it to be used silently whilst the tank is full. This is eerie but oh so good and enables me to listen to La Boehme without disruption as I am spraying!

The built-in airbrush holder is great and in the right place and the air pressure valve is also easy to use but beware the safety feature which works like a childproof lock on a medicine bottle.

In use

I’m using it on my Eduard Frogfoot with my Iwata HC and it sprays smoothly, evenly and mostly silently. I love this machine and if Geoff ever tries to get it back from me…………………….!!!!

Recommendation/Value

Based on my 4 years of using my Iwata Sprint Jet and my current use of this great new compressor I can’t recommend it highly enough. It seems at first sight expensive at £250.00 but I reckon it’ll be the last and best compressor you ever buy!

Les V.
