Initial assessment
This is another book in the Masterclass series written by Brett Green who is a well respected modeller with a deserved reputation as a model maker.
The volume comes in ring binder format printed on good quality glossy paper and is 192 pages long including the index. The seven chapters cover the models and before this is an introduction called “The Dawn of the Jet Age”.
Some of the aircraft covered are the He 280, Me 262, Arado Ar 234 and the Me 163. This is followed by models of the Vengeance Weapons starting with the Fieseler Fi 103 RE-4 Piloted flying bomb (V1), the V2 ballistic missile which are the followed by the Planet Models resin Heinkel P1077 and the Amtech Focke Wulf Ta 183B in a hypothetical colour scheme.

As one has come to expect from this series the volume is copiously illustrated with colour photos detailing the step by step builds.
Of interest is the chapter on the Jumo 109-004B engine as the colour pictures will be of value to the super detailers as is the historical information. For the diorama builder is a useful section on the trailer for the V2 with some excellent pictures.
The book is excellent with clear well written text enhanced by sharp colour photographs and include in the latter part of this volume is a further reading and references compiled by Dr. Charles Metz. The only negative comment is that there are no 1:72nd scale models in the book but this is the only issue as I found it a book that will be useful for projects on the aircraft covered between its covers.
All in all top marks for subject and content, hoping for more in this series,
Highly Recommended
