Quick summary
Commemorating the 30th Anniversary of the conflict between the United Kingdom and Argentina over the sovereignty of the Falkland Islands in the spring of 1982.
The book covers the colour schemes and markings of the British and Argentinean aircraft that were used in combat in what became known as the Falklands War.
Featuring such types as the Sea Harrier FRS.1, Harrier GR.3, Avro Vulcan, numerous Royal Navy and Army Air Corps helicopters, opposed by such types as Mirage IIIEAs, IAI Daggers, A-4 Skyhawks, Super Etendards, Canberras and a large and eclectic range of secondary aircraft types and helicopters, the book offers over 70 pages of well-researched and carefully illustrated full colour profiles and 4-views.
What I like
This is written and presented exactly like we modellers will like and appreciate. Many familiar types and a few less so fill the pages with profiles in plan (mostly) and side views – excellent. There really is something for everyone in this title whether your interest is the UK Forces, those of Argentina or both like me.
The quality of the profiles is very high and you have pretty much all the information that you’ll need in the captions and text.
Other comments and summary
This is just what modellers like – good quality profiles, a great read and plenty of photos to help inspire a model build. So this title comes highly recommended.
