NEW series of HD videos… 60-Second Tutorials
No.1 – Spraying Luftwaffe WWII mottle camouflage
Many of you have been asking for more video help spread across many subjects. So… we have been working hard to make this a reality and so today I can announce the start of a whole new series of short, sharp video tutorials – hence the series name: 60-Second Tutorials
Ok, in fact many of the films we are currently shooting are coming in very slightly over 60 seconds, but you get the idea I hope?
I want you to understand exactly how the new videos are designed to work within your Techniques Bank – please read on…
Gary N. one of SMN’s first subscribers I know has been waiting very patiently for this first video and I know some of his fellow modellers have too, so this first video is for you, guys – hope you are pleased that your request has become a reality. Here’s what I sent Gary earlier today…
Just to let you know that the first of the new videos is going live tomorrow – one of the new (and many to come) short 60-Second Tutorials – AND, as promised, the first is on spraying Luftwaffe WWII camo mottling. I will be adding 2 more to finish this subject off very soon.
I’ve been working hard to get the first in a new series of 60-Second video tutorials live that we’re shooting in the studio with our new camcorder. It is pretty good, it just takes a bit of time to get the lighting and distance from the subject sorted. The first one is done: Spraying Luftwaffe WWII mottle camouflage.
The idea is going to be to add these very focused video clips in many of the Techniques Bank, using the words and still images around the clip to add the necessary context so that the short clips add real value and can be understood properly. I hope that we can produce these fairly quickly now and that’ll give SMN a real boost and edge over anything else available to scale modellers in their magazine.
Ok, what other videos would you like to see in your 60-Second Tutorial Series
Just e-mail me directly at: geoff@scalemodellingnow.com with your ideas – thanks.
