On with the canopy
The fit isn’t too bad – not brilliant but with some coaxing and securing with Gator Grip glue and masking tape to hold the canopy on until dry, the job is done.
Undercarriage units and stores
These fit well and are pretty strong. I added them and then the wheels – securing the latter with ordinary tube cement to allow for some adjusting while the model sits on its gear while drying. That done, the remaining stores: LGBs under the wings and bombs in the open bomb bay are added. Some of the stores are shown just tacked on temporarily while I checked alignment. Cyano glue is used to secure all the stores in place – I don’t want them coming off!
The tiny parts like red nav lights above and below the fuselage aren’t supplied in the kit and were scratched from my mini-spares box, as were some of the smaller antennae – the larger ones come in the box. The kit decal instruction sheet is good for showing all these small items, even though they aren’t supplied.
