Decals
All the markings that you can see come from the spares box – hey! This is Sci-Fi, right? So… anything goes as far as I’m concerned, especially as far as less well known subjects like Kydoimos TTF 200869 are concerned!
I laid down a nice gloss varnish Super Gloss from K Colours, leaving this to dry overnight before applying the decals the next day – just to be safe.
Mr Mark Setter and Softer are good for settling the decals down over the detail.
Some colour contrast
I decided in the end to base paint the corrugated ‘grills’ in silver and top coat them in Tamiya Clear Orange to try and simulate some kind of pulse-type power plant doing its stuff.
